In Classic Performances we're going to take a look at some of the most "classic" performances in rock history.
I have personally transcribed each performance, note for note, and have created high quality drum charts. You will also find individual charts, each on a different element of the performance; a chart of the whole drumming performance, a chart of the beats, another of the fills, and other types of charts when relevant elements to each particular performance are present. For example, John Bonham's performance on "When There Levee Breaks" has multiple "kicks", which are not only an integral part to this specific song, but "kicks" in general are used throughout music and rock drumming.
I also provide a video lecture and analysis along with an additional chart of the foundational elements of the song form and composition, something drummers often pay very little attention to, and something when understood, will help drummers to engage in the song much more deeply! Finally, I have made many observations as to each drummers performance and individual style of drumming, pointing out some of the characteristic elements of each particular drummers style.
You are really going to enjoy these Classic Performances analysis and will deepen your knowledge of drumming artistry, while making another BIG step forward in your pursuit of drumming artistry excellence!
