Playing over the bar line is an advanced concept in modern drumming! It is a technique that will yield amazing rhythmic results when applied properly and in the right musical situation. In this class, you will learn some of the various methods of playing over the bar line along with some exercises and patterns for you to practice in both the rock and jazz idioms. I use this technique extensively in my own performances and provide some real world examples which demonstrate the musical application of this challenging, yet creative drumming technique.
