Bill Bruford is a legend in the world of Prog Rock Drumming!
Bruford is well respected as a creative, yet complex drummer with a unique and highly individualized style of drumming. He came to prominence in 1969 as a member of the iconic prog rock band “Yes”. Eventually, Bruford moved on from “Yes”, and went on to have a long career with other bands including King Crimson as well as his own solo projects.
In Prog Rock Beats & Fills – Bill Bruford Style, there is an introductory lecture where were we’ll reflect on some of the stylistic elements of the Bill Bruford style. Following that, there are 5 lessons, all incorporating some of the stylistic elements of the Bruford style of drumming. These beats and fills are presented in the context of the odd time signatures of 6/8, 7/8, 10/16, 11/16 and 13/16.
