There are 40 international drum rudiments. As a group, these rudiments are an excellent source of study and practice material both for the development of technique and for their use in musical applications to the drum set.
Mike teaches all 40 international drum rudiments in 5 manageable groups; single stroke roll rudiments, multiple bounce roll rudiments, diddle rudiments, flam rudiments and drag rudiments. While focusing on one rudiment group type at a time, Mike breaks down each rudiment individually and explains the rudiment, the notational element of the rudiment, the executional challenges of the rudiment, and then provides a demonstration of the rudiment.
