Description
There are 3 single stroke roll rudiments; the “single stroke roll”, the “single stroke four”, and the “single stroke seven”. Of all of the 40 drum rudiments, the single stroke roll is the most widely used rudiment in all of drum set drumming. In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of each of these three rudiments, along with the notational element. Through many years of teaching these rudiments, I have come across most of the difficulties students have playing these rudiments, and we’ll take a look at these specific difficulties. There is also a demonstration of each rudiment with tips and suggestions on playing them. Also included for download are the lessons files for practice and study.
